A romantic, beautifully simple smile captured in music – flamenco-jazz at its most tender and uncomplicated. In Bb minor and flowing 3/4 time, this piece from Rasgueo's acclaimed album Echo invites you to dim the lights, light a few candles, and leave the stress and smartphone behind. The lead sheet for trumpet in C highlights the instrument's lyrical voice in elegant dialogue with flamenco guitar roots – warm, melodic lines full of emotion, subtle jazz harmonies, and a gentle narrative that feels like a quiet, heartfelt confession. Nikos Tsiachris, the Greek-born mastermind behind Berlin's innovative flamenco-jazz band Rasgueo, crafts compositions rich in personal stories. Here, "Sonrisa" (Smile) radiates pure romance and inner peace, blending the soul of flamenco with the freedom of jazz improvisation. Perfect for trumpet players seeking expressive, atmospheric material with a world-music twist – intimate, evocative, and deeply moving. Difficulty: Intermediate. ©Galileo Music Communication GmbH
