Commissioned by L'Itinéraire as part of the Sounds for the Future programme, with the support of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation, the cycle of cello pieces Petits Secrets aims to introduce young musicians to the soundscape of contemporary music. These three Petits Secrets are available in two versions of differing difficulty: one more accessible, the other more demanding, to suit different levels. The piano part, marked ad libitum, allows the works to be performed with or without accompaniment. The final piece, Chanson douce, includes an ad libitum part for a second cello.
