The Perigorde Mass was composed in the village of Sainte-Radegonde in the summer of 2015. It is dedicated to the Dortmund choir “Chor am Mallinckroth” and its choirmaster Klaus Stehling. The work owes its conception to modern performance practice with regard both to the voice parts (soprano, alto and baritone) and to the accompaniment. In France in particular, there are harmoniums in many churches. The organ accompaniment can, therefore, be played on the manuals only.
