We all know the value of music, don't we? We know the discourse: education, young people, building minds, opportunity, future, creativity and a new generation of musicians. But to get political, it would seem that the immense so-called 'value' of music is not reflected in how it is treated by those who have the power to elicit change. On the contrary, it seems to be up against a great resistance. When we are left powerless to the declining opportunities for young people to learn to sing, our only course of action is to not let this decline happen quietly.
