About
Towson University Director of Bands and Orchestras Cicconi is much in demand as guest conductor and clinician, in addition to preparing future music educators for their own careers. Cicconi last year arranged Leshnoff's orchestra work Rush for concert band (495-00012), giving the premiere with his own Towson University Symphonic Band. Four Dances (Waltz, Pavane, Chas Tanz, and Furlana) was composed in 2014 as a string quartet, has been transcribed for chamber orchestra, and is now made available as saxophone quartet by Cicconi. (Baltimore Chamber Orchestra leads off its new season with a performance of Four Dances in the chamber orchestra transcription, September 30: https://thebco.org/season/learn-1.html)
