The German-Italian composer Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari is still firmly anchored in the concert scene today, particularly through his operatic, chamber music and lied works. The fact that the Rheinberger composer also wrote pieces for solo organ was previously unknown; his Three Pieces for Organ, which were composed in 1895 and have remained unknown, therefore represent a veritable discovery. They are short, romantic gems that unfold their Italian-German charm in concert or (individually) in church services on a two-manual organ.
