„Highland Cathedral“ was produced, arranged and composed in 1982 and released as a single record by Uli Roever and Michael Korb. This original version was interpreted by Michael Korb on the bagpipes. It is played by all Scottish pipe bands and is one of the best-known bagpipe tunes in the world. For our choral version, Bernd Stallmann has written a church text („Praise the Lord, the King of this world“) and a secular text („Let us stand together as friends“), which suitably supports this impressive and catchy melody. With or without piano accompaniment, this three-part choral setting is suitable for all occasions!
