Three atmospheric Wintry pieces. One of the most prolific British composers of the 20th century, William Alwyn (1905-85) produced almost three hundred compositions in most genres: opera, ballet, orchestral, chamber, instrumental and song. Additionally, he contributed around 200 scores for the cinema and was a noted flautist and teacher.
