Remembrance was composed in 2021 to celebrate the 85th birthday of Nicholas Wheeler-Robinson, in response to a commission from his three children Caleb, Olivia and Charlie. Nick has played an important and steadying role in my life, and those of many others, for over 20 years. Though the text, by the poet-soldier-ambassador Thomas Wyatt (1503-42), is not traditionally celebratory, it is Nick?s favourite poem of 2020.
