The text is chosen from, and written with, reference to a variety of both ancient and modern sources. I am grateful to Tim Bannerman for his help and advice on shaping the text and to McPherson & Company for their permission to use an excerpt from Ursule Molinaro's work.

Two Souls was commissioned by Hereford Chamber Choir, with funds provided by the RVW Trust.
