This work was commissioned by, and is dedicated to, the late Inge Hadorn, one of South Africa's leading woodwind instrumentalists. It was premiered by Inge Hadorn (Contrabassoon) and Mark Baker (Piano) in the arrangement for Contrabassoon and Piano, at St. Peter's College, Johannesburg, South Africa on 8th June 2010.
