The title "Legacy" refers to my Jewish heritage and the work attempts to encapsulate a history of tradition, persecution and resilience. The opening and closing passages recreate the sound of the ancient shofar(ram's horn), blown at the Jewish New Year and to signal the end of Yom Kippur. A couple of Hebraic chants are also integrated into the fabric of the work.
