On Tranquility is music for live instruments and intermodulating sine-tones and was written in 2018 and 2019 for Eva Z?llner (accordion) and Heather Roche (clarinet), to whom it is dedicated. The title is a reference to the Sea of Tranquility, the area on the moon?s surface where Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on 20th July 1969. The work was premiered by the Z?llner-Roche duo in an on-line video for the Act Bru?cken festival (Cologne) in May 2020; the Z?llner-Roche duo gave the live premiere at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival on 20th November 2022.
