About
Lavernock Loops was commissioned by UPROAR for a special lockdown project which was recorded at Maida Vale Studios and broadcast on BBC Radio 3 in March 2021, conducted by Michael Rafferty. Running along the cliffs around Lavernock Point during the time we were allowed outside every day was a major feature of my COVID lockdown experience. Consequently, the piece uses data from my running app during the months of the lockdowns of 2020-21 to create a structure and tempo plan, as well as informing the character of each section.
