From the mid-1920s Hindemith increasingly attended to educational projects for children and young people and even experimented in this field which led to the 'Plöner Musiktag' in 1932. A particularly inspired result is the short lively and funny 'Lügenlied' based on the text of an old folksong for three mixed voices (only one male voice in the school choir/youth choir!) and any instrumentation.
