Commissioned by the Jazz Division of the Illinois Music Educators Association for the 2006 Illinois All-State Jazz Ensemble, this heartfelt tribute to Frank Mantooth is an excellent programming choice for medium advanced groups. It is, without a doubt, one of Doug's finest charts - consisting of great ensemble writing, strong swing figures, an open solo sections, and a roaring shout chorus. Duration 4:02.
