In A Coventry Carol Malcolm Archer treats SATB choir and organ to a suitably poignant, lilting setting of his own music, with a lovely false relation in the chorus (and who wouldn't want one of those!). This simple setting contains considerable subtlety, with constant reharmonising of the initial melody (the most chromatic is left till last - delicious)
