The Appalachian folk song seeks to divine wisdom for new brides and grooms from the original creation of Adam and Eve. The admonishments are timeless, while the melody hearkens back to a much earlier era in Appalachia. The voices take turns entering into the ceremony, and the full chorus brings it home. Some divisi, especially within the soprano lines. For high school and beyond.
