The joy and anticipation of the Advent season bursts from every measure of this bright new collaboration between lyricist John Parker and composer Larry Shackley. An insistent, rhythmic introduction is followed by the choir singing, "What a day iscoming! What a day is near! When our burdens are lifted, and our hearts filled with cheer." The growing excitement builds to the powerful coda: "Christ is coming! Jubilate Deo!"
