Johann Cruger's hymn is ideal for the Lent or Easter season. The piece has a quiet beginning and ending, and the middle section is majestic. This work is 69 measures and is arranged in c minor and e minor. Chimes may be used instead of bells in measures 1-15 and measures 65-66 for an extra-special effect.
