Three sun or moon themed pieces (Rising, Eclipse, In Orbit) for six trumpets. The first movement has exciting syncopations, the second is languid and slow, while the third in 7/8 time (2+3+2) has a whirling feel like the celestial body in question. The unusual timing makes the third movement the hardest, the other two are well within the reach of most confident players.
