Featured on the CD recordings “A Portrait Of Sammy” and “Basie-cally Sammy,” this very bright jazz outing in a soft two-beat style is first presented by a small combo -- tenor, trumpet, trombone, vibes, guitar -- before transitioning into the tenor and trumpet solo segments. A hard-swinging ensemble chorus gives this exciting chart a strong finish.
