Serving as an excellent introduction to the samba style, the open solo section in this well-crafted original features a two-chord vamp that allows plenty of stretching room for any number of soloists. Playing the syncopated figures without rushing will be the greatest challenge. Brass ranges are modest, rhythm section parts are notated, and a guitar chord chart by Jim Greeson is included.
