Factus est repente was commissioned by Joseph Arndt, organist at Grace Church in Newark, New Jersey [USA]. The work received its premier on Pentecost Sunday 2013 by their parish choir, an eight-person professional ensemble locally renowned for their performance of both Renaissance repertoire and newly-commissioned motets by prominent composers in the New York area.
