The Curlew was composed by Peter Warlock for Tenor and Piano Accompaniment. The Curlew the present new Hungarian translation was made in 2004 for a London concert. The prosody of the Hungarian language required many rhythmical changes in the vocal line, which had to be treatedwith a certain degree of freedom.
