The flamboyant Carillon Festivo was written in 1999 as a recessional voluntary for the wedding of the composer's publisher Andrew Skirrow and his wife, Lucy. Carillon da Festa was written two years later in celebration of a special birthday for his good friend Deborah Venner and is based on the tune 'Happy Birthday'.
