About
In the mid 1930s, Maurice Jacobson was commissioned by the Markova-Dolin Ballet Company to compose the music for a new biblical ballet, David. The ballet was premiered in 1936 and a suite of four pieces from the ballet was first performed by the Scottish National Orchestra in 1950. This PROCESSIONAL is taken from the ballet and has been arranged for organ by Trevor Widdicombe.
