Commissioned by the Chichester Elementary School Band in Chichester, Pennsylvania, this majestic overture gives all sections of the band a chance to shine. The strong opening theme features intriguing syncopated rhythms that are echoed throughout the work.The cheerful second theme features clarinets first, then flutes and finally the brass section.
