Here is a jolly piece, based on I Corinthians 14 v.15, which consistently remains restrained and never becomes extrovert, uses highly understandable harmony and modulations, does not try to be intellectually far-fetched (its cleverness is in its comparative simplicity) and has a straightforward organ part with lots of simple rhythmic interest largely centred on a syncopated motif. A particularly magic touch is the very soft ending on the word 'Alleluia'. This is a wonderful anthem in all respects, and I strongly recommend it to all choirs looking for something new without being difficult - it is also available in a two-part version
