Bright, bold, and irresistibly energetic, Aim High is a thrilling addition to the brass quintet repertoire. Composed for the USAF Heritage of America Band MACH 1 Commission, Pann’s quintet unfolds in a single, continuous movement of vividly contrasting sections. Hymns (both shadowy and radiant) intertwine with lively dances and intricate canons, all crafted to showcase the performers’ virtuosity and spirit. Exhilarating and deeply resonant, Aim High soars as a compelling tribute to the dedication and heroism of the nation’s armed service members.
