Ukulele
The Ukulele is a member of the lute family of instruments. Generally, it has 4 nylon strings played with the fingers or a plectrum. Ukuleles commonly come in 4 sizes; soprano (standard ukulele), concert, tenor, and baritone. Ukuleles are used frequently in popular music, country, and folk music. Popular ukulele artists include the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Jake Shimabukuro, George Formby, Tessie O’Shea, and Grace Vander Waal. Commonly the ukulele is used as accompaniment for solo vocalists.
