Recommended Sheet Music, Ludovico Einaudi: Underwater

Einaudi: UnderwaterUnderwater is Ludovico Einaudi's first full solo piano album in twenty years. The album is a manifesto for life, and a statement for the time when the world around him was quiet and silent. Accompanying the album release and following collaborative efforts from Wise Music Classical, Decca, and Hal Leonard, the matching folio is also available globally. Underwater showcases Einaudi's distinctive piano style, and follows the composer's recent successful soundtracks for Nomadland and The Father, and the popular series of albums titled Seven Days Walking. The album and folio cover artwork features one of the composer's own photographs, which epitomises the feeling of the album.

Featuring Einaudi's trademark melodies, the music was written whilst Ludovico was in isolation at his home in Italy. Working without any distractions or the usual commitments that come with his busy schedule, Einaudi said "I felt a sense of freedom to abandon myself and to let the music flow in a different way. I didn't have a filter between me and what came out of the piano. It felt very pure."
