Giovanni Mirabassi's new power trio returns with a project dedicated to the Great American Songbook. Surrounded by his longtime collaborator Gianluca Renzi on double bass and the magnificent drummer from the new New York scene, Colin Stranahan, Giovanni approaches this repertoire with the freshness of a first time (this is the artist's first recording under his own name dedicated solely to American standards) and the maturity acquired in thirty years of career.

This baptism of fire resulted in exhilarating performances blending tradition and modernity, recorded in the legendary New York studio Samurai Hotel by the legendary Mike Marciano. Two more volumes in this discography are planned for release annually.
