One of the most iconic albums by the legendary 1956 Miles Davis Quintet, 'Workin'was the third in a series of four albums by the same formation, the others being 'Cookin', 'Relaxin',and 'Steamin'. 'Workin' is the product of two recording sessions from May and October of 1956. Contradicting the standard method of preparing fresh material for upcoming albums, Davis decided to produce a studio version of their club repertoire. The LP includes the group's legendary versions of 'Four' and 'It Never Entered My Mind' .
