The fourth album by Avey Tare, the solo project of Animal Collective's Dave Portner, was recorded with producer Adam McDaniel (Angel Olsen, Archers of Loaf) at Drop of Sun Studios in Portner's hometown of Asheville, North Carolina. Portner describes the album as 'a dreamy surrealist landscape.'
