[Due to] Noah’s unorthodox approach to microtonality and phrasing, and the complex yet incisive “spidering” (Noah’s apt word) of the ensemble… the quartet has devised a radical revision of tonal, timbral, and melodic focus; they generate momentum with fluid, uncommon extensions of common resources. As interwoven and unpredictable the elements of expression and form may appear, however, this is decidedly not “free” jazz, for all of its edgy fluency. Art Lange
