<ul> <li> Bernard Wright was a young piano player from Queens, New York who made these two Classic Jazz (Funk) albums in the early Eighties, Bernard was only sixteen when he recorded the 1981 album Nard. </li> <li> Nard features the two heavily sampled tracks Hoboglabotribin and Spinnin. Snoop Dogg sampled Hoboglabotribin on the track Gs And Hustlers and Skee-Lo sampled Spinnin on his hit single I Wish, and another highlight of the album is a version of Miles Davis Solar. </li> <li> The Funky Beat album allowed Bernard to explore many areas of black music including Jazz, Soul, Funk & Break Beats. There are two standout tracks on the album - Weldon Irvines Mr Clean and the track Joy Spring; both tracks produced by Dave Grusin & Larry Rosen. </li> <li> The package contains extensive liner notes by Jazz FMs Ralph Tee. </li> </ul>
