With his long hair, wide riding breeches and straw hat Brazilian Renato Borghetti represents the typical image of a real gaucho. The cd Andanças is the result of ten years of rambling, research and discovering new ways of musical expression. Borghetti and musicians travel increasingly in Europe and it is therefore not surprising that they seek out their roots. Renato discovers that the music from Italy and Germany, countries where his parents - and many other immigrants in Brazil - come from, has much in common with gaucho music. All these influences have played their role and Borghetti’s music has continued to mature. Andanças is the result of ten years of rambling, research and discovering new ways of musical expression.
