Dena DeRose has it all: she's a dynamic and swinging jazz pianist, a compelling and innovative singer, and a distinctive composer and arranger. On this new MaxJazz release this extremely accomplished musician performs inventive arrangements of standards and memorable original compositions. Hearing Dena and her trio in this live setting is quite a treat. Backed by a top notch rhythm section (Martin Wind, bass; Matt Wilson, drums) the trio plays bold and modern renditions of standards. This release follows her critically-acclaimed MaxJazz debut 'A Walk In The Park'
