Warp
Warp (or Warp Records) is an independent record label founded in Sheffield in 1989 by Steve Beckett, Rob Mitchell and Robert Gordon. Specialising in electronic music, the label became associated early on with the UK's techno scene, but is most often remembered for nurturing the 'IDM' genre with artists like Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Autechre and Boards of Canada.
