Ubuntu
Named after the Bantu word meaning "I am because we are", Ubuntu Music was formed by Martin Hummel and musician Quentin Collins. Hummel comes from a marketing background, while Collins is a composer and trumpet player - with the label itself under the management of talent development company Ubuntu Management Group. The label focuses on releasing jazz-oriented music by artists from a diverse range of backgrounds.
