Whirlwind Recordings is an independent record label based in London, owned and operated by composer, producer and bass player Michael Janisch. Since its founding, Whirlwind has released over 170 albums in an eclectic range of styles; while the catalogue spans numerous genres, the label places a key emphasis on improvised music.
