Pentangle (Group)
Pentangle (sometimes 'The Pentangle') are a British folk-jazz band with influences from jazz, blues and folk rock. The original lineup of The Pentangle - unchanging during the band's first incarnation - consisted of vocalist Jacqui McShee, vocalist/guitarists John Renbourn and Bert Jansch, upright bassist Danny Thompson and drummer Terry Cox. This lineup was active from the late 1960s to early 1970s, with a later version of the band, led by McShee, remaining active today since 1981. Despite this, interest in the original lineup's recordings remains.
