This week the ensemble Ruby Rushton expand their vibrant sound with deeper studio textures in Legacy!, while Hollie Cook’s Shy Girl delivers sun-drenched “tropical pop”, infused with the warmth of reggae and an emphasis on storytelling. Zack Lober’s So We Could Live channels grief into lyrical and exploratory improvisation, and at eighty-seven Charles Lloyd remains a towering creative force in Figure In Blue, a deeply expressive double album featuring Jason Moran and Marvin Sewell. To finish up this week, Örjan Hultén’s Peaceful Warrior quartet blends introspective compositions with poetic vocals, inviting stillness and shared connection.
