Blues artist Doug MacLeod releases his latest album Between Somewhere And Goodbye, full of atmospheric storytelling, and tenor saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi presents his new quartet album in Blue DNA. A funky fusion sound is front and centre in Roberto Restuccia’s album Hand 2 Heart, two saxophonist greats join forces in Cory Weeds Meets Jerry Weldon, and the NDR Big Band take a closer look the work of Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki in Visiting Krzysztof.
Multiple Blues Music Award winner Doug MacLeod delivers his sixth release with Reference Recordings with Between Somewhere And Goodbye, another collection of original tunes that capture his soulful storytelling and masterful guitar. A mixture of solo and ensemble compositions, MacLeod is joined by drummer Lynn Williams, Mark T. Jordan on piano and organ, bassist Paul Ossola, and backing vocals by The Shoals Sisters.
