The 525E is made from nickel silver with silver plating, giving the flute its shine and at the same time protecting the material from corrosion. 'Quantz' flutes are provided with French pointed key arms, once regarded as solely the domain of handmade flutes, but which are now provided throughout the Pearl range. French key arms afford quickness of speed, offering increased stability and enhancing the quality of the mechanism, a unique feature amongst student flutes. Pearl's patented 'Pinless Mechanism' eliminates the problems of traditional flute construction - protruding needles that snag clothing and give easy entry to perspiration and body acids, and their 'One-Piece Core Bar' design results in a strong and sturdy mechanism.
