Yanagisawa saxophones are made by a small family company in Japan that only makes professional quality instruments, recognised as some of the finest in the world. Popular with technicians, these instruments play straight out of the box and are incredibly reliable.
The SWO1 is a classic fixed neck saxophone which has taken over from the popular S901 model. With an improved construction and ergonomic key design, a student will develop their style more easily , whilst the advanced professional can be assured of a superior tone.
For many years, the Yanagisawa Soprano Saxophone range has been praised for its ease of play and excellent tuning. With some specific modifications to the new SW model, Yanagisawa have cemented their position as one of the premuim soprano sax manufacturers.
The main new features include:
- A newly designed internal bore shape along with modified tone hole positioning and size to make the instrument even smoother playing with precise intonation.
- Newly sourced and expertly treated core brass material. The selection was based on finding a blend that produced the most vibrant and responsive tone and resonance.
- There have been various small key modifications including re-designs to the front F key, Left Hand palm keys, Right Hand side keys and Left Hand 'pinky' keys. These changes are aimed at making the instrument extremely comfortable to hold and perform on.
