Shergold Guitars: A British Icon, Reborn.
Shergold Guitars, a British guitar company founded in 1965 by the late Jack Golder and Norman Houlder. The company, based in London, quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality, innovative guitars that were played by some of the biggest names in music, including David Bowie, Genesis and Joy Division. With present artists The KVB, Manic Street Preachers and Brownbear using a variety of Shergold models.
Shergold's guitars have become well-known for unique designs, excellent craftsmanship, and a wide and versatile sound. The company offers a wide range of models, from traditional solid-body guitars to semi-hollow body and acoustic guitars. Some of the most popular models include the Masquerader, Navigator, and Modulator.
In the late 1980s, Shergold production ceased. However, the brand was revived in 2015 by Barnes & Mullins Ltd, the same British company who had distributed the original guitars during the 70s and 80s. Under the guidance of award-winning UK luthier Patrick James Eggle, Shergold Guitars has quickly re-established itself as one of the leading guitar brands in the world.
