After their successful Mozart album, here is a further triumph for Riccardo Minasi and the Ensemble Resonanz, as they give the Eroica back its original modernity: its cutting edge. Their reading, based on the most recent sources and research, restores the radical nature of the work – one that has revolutionized formal thinking ever since its creation. With its fissures, tensions and sheer daring, this interpretation breaks with all norms to reveal a symphony of visionary scope.
