August 2023

Under Roderick Cox, the orchestra gives a high-octane account [of the Symphony] with a wealth of drama and excitement and a palpable sense of mission...[Kanneh-Mason] performs [the Concerto] straight from the heart, with care, sparkle and self-possession, sympathetically partnered by the orchestra under Leslie Suganandarajah.

September 2023

I’ve been waiting for Chineke! to join the party and celebrate what we have uncovered to date and they do so with vigour and a deep and abiding affection. Better yet, they bring us Jeneba KannehMason, whose championing of the Price Piano Concerto has already travelled it far and wide.

23rd June 2023

At times [the Symphony] is positively Brucknerian; that mature sense of confidently and unhurriedly sticking with something, be it a slow-burning build-up or some other musical mood, for exactly as long as it needs. Cox and the Chineke! wind principals in particular really respond to this...the concerto, though, deserves to be heard every bit as widely, and this sensitive new account of it will surely help further establish its place in the repertoire.

December 2023

Recorded live, Chineke!’s upbeat performances should win many new friends for the American composer Florence Price (1887-1953). Kanneh-Mason is a vivid soloist.

1st July 2023

[Kanneh-Mason's] playing is vigorous and authoritative. Price could have no more persuasive an advocate...Chineke! Orchestra’s woodwind, especially, shine in these lively performances.
